On October 21, 2006, NBC's Saturday Night Live showed a skit with some scientists creating a hybrid creature called "Bearshark." A singing John C. Reilly pined for the eventual success of the "Bearshark project", while a costumed character with a bear body and the head of a shark danced in the background and characters bled all over the set due to massive limb loss.

It should be emphasized that Bearshark is in fact very friendly, and would never attack anyone without provocation. Bearshark is kind natured, good with kids and pets, and has only once or twice maimed people (they had it coming, he says).

If anyone from SNL, NBC or any affiliated organization would like to send some sort of royalty it'd be looked upon favourably - while house broken, it still takes quite a bit of cash to keep the Bearshark in the lifestyle he has become accustomed to.
